Microsoft Account Specialist

About the Role:

This is a high-impact, sales specialist role focused on identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities as well as growing great existing customer relationships. You’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy, targeting mid-market and enterprise clients with Microsoft products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Having direct relationships with VCG’s Microsoft customers, including:
    • Fulfilling their queries on what product(s) are right for their requirements
    • Completing customer scoping calls, engaging the correct pre-sales resources where necessary
    • Conducting Quarterly Microsoft Business reviews with the larger Microsoft customers
  • Providing guidance on appropriate products to VCG customers around the Microsoft technology stack, including but not limited to:
    • Azure Services
    • Microsoft 365 licenses
    • Microsoft Server and Data Centre licenses
    • Microsoft Applications
  • Working with marketing and the VCG new business team to bring new Microsoft business to VCG.
  • Providing support to the VCG Sales team on the VCG Cloud portfolio and Cloud managed services. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Conducting customer scoping calls to gather requirements and propose the best Microsoft solution or product
    • Creating Microsoft Business proposals and quotes in Pandadocs for VCG customers
    • Giving advice to Sales staff to ensure the best outcome for VCG customers
  • Providing support to the VCG’s Microsoft and Cloud managed service customers.
  • Working closely with Microsoft and our Microsoft partners to drive further business and rebate for VCG.
  • Maintaining and improving licensing knowledge through certification, both on a personal and company level
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes
  • Attendance to customer sites or VCG offices to conduct work or attend meetings where necessary
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on sales performance.
Requirements:
  • Successful Sales experience with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving margin growth.
  • Excellent experience of selling Microsoft products within a Cloud Solutions Provider.
  • Great at communicating and holding customer meetings over Teams or in-person
  • Good Knowledge of the Microsoft products on offer, such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics etc
  • Experience in working in an MSP environment
  • Experience of requirements gathering and interpreting a customer requirement to a Microsoft solution
  • Experience in driving Microsoft sales engagements and closing sales opportunities
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships internally at a variety of levels and work closely with technical departments such as pre-sales, operations and the project management office
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Service Desk Engineer

About the Role:

The Service Desk Engineer is the first point of contact for our customer base where the Engineers respond to and then manage the lifespan of all VCG incidents and service requests, focusing on the restoration of normal service as quickly as possible, minimising the impact on the customers business operations.Our Service Desk Engineers are responsible for both directly resolving incidents and requests, as well as escalating and coordinating with internal resolvers and external third-party partners.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Providing a helpful and polite response to initial contacts into the Service Desk through taking calls, replying to emails, and responding to self-service tickets.
  • Effective logging and fault analysis of new incidents and service requests, including prioritisation and coding of the ticket.
  • Ownership and resolution of incidents and requests within the scope of a Service Desk fix.
  • Escalation and coordination of incidents and requests to internal and external support teams
  • Scheduling and supporting engineers during installations, fault resolution and third-party issues.
  • Providing regular ticket status updates to the end customer
  • Maintaining a technical knowledge of all supported products and undertaking training when necessary to update any required skills set
  • Following the incident management and request fulfilment processes detailed in the call handling manual
  • Fulfilling Service Desk objectives detailed in the service management policy

Revenue Assurance Officer

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Activities to include, but not limited to:
  • Accurately complete customer billing on a timely basis to maximise cash flow.
  • Ensure new customer charges are applied accurately to their estate.
  • Investigate billing anomalies, unbilled revenue, and incorrect charges, tracing issues back to their root cause.
  • Monitor and analyse revenue streams to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for recovery or optimization.
  • Work proactively to prevent billing errors and ensure all chargeable services are correctly captured and billed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Product, Sales, Operations) to identify revenue leakage points, resolve any discrepancies or issues related to service termination
  • Support investigations into revenue leakage and recommend corrective actions.
  • Verify that all services are correctly ceased in the billing system and that final charges/credits are applied accurately.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of revenue assurance processes, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Training will be provided, with the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship as part of your development.

Qualifications
  • GCSE or equivalent (required)
  • A Levels or equivalent (required)
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Video editing skills using CapCut and Premiere Pro is a bonus.
  • Knowledge and use of social platforms including LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook.
  • Strong attention to detail with good copywriting and visual design skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work well both within a team and independently.
